Director's Note

From the start of work on this musical at Theatre Calgary, I was committed to casting the entire production with performers from the city, which we accomplished. The people of the city came out in droves to support the cast of fellow Calgarians.

We auditioned only a handful of local talents for the role of Billy, including two superb performers who shared the role. Seeing their individual opening nights and hearing the crowd roar for them made my heart skip a beat.
